Rental Source is an online marketplace for rental properties located in the United States and Canada. It's also an easy & cost effective place for property owners and managers to advertise their rental properties online.
How does Rental Source work?Property owners and managers pay a fee to list their available rental properties on Rental Source. Rental Source then works to attract potential renters to explore their listings. If the renter is interested in their property, they'll contact the manager directly through the contact information noted on their listing. The manager then handles any ensuing transaction and the management of the rental property. Rental Source does not collect a commission or fee on bookings created through our service.
One of the main features on Rental Source is a free, user-friendly search. Simply go to our homepage, enter your search requirements, and click search! Next you will see all of the rentals that match your requirements.
How much does Rental Source charge to search for available rentals?There is no charge to search Rental Source for available rentals anywhere in the United States and Canada. The property owners and managers have paid a listing fee to place their rentals on Rental Source for you to explore.
My search came back with no results, did I do something wrong?When there are no properties that match your search exactly, you will be prompted for your email address to setup an alert. This way, Rental Source will notify you as soon as we receive a listing that is an exact match to your search.
When will Rental Source contain rentals in every city?We are working on advertising Rental Source as quickly as possible. During this time, we thank you for your patience as we begin to build our national database of rentals.
How can I print a copy of each property I'm interested in?Located at the top of each listing is a link called "Print Version". By clicking this, a printer friendly version of the listing will appear as well as your brower's print function.
Can Rental Source check the rate/availability of a rental?Rental Source does not have any information besides what is shown on the property listing. We also do not currently track the availability of properties listed through our service. Potential renters will need to contact the property manager directly through their listing for this information.
Can Rental Source arrange a booking for me?Rental Source does not handle any bookings or reservations. Potential renters will need to contact the property manager directly through their listing to do this.
Does Rental Source rent/manage any properties?Rental Source only advertises available rental properties on behalf of property owners and managers.
How do potential renters contact the property owners and managers?Located on each listing is the contact information that the property manager supplied when they created their listing. To contact the manager via email, you can use the "Request Information" form located on each listing. Upon completing this form, an email will be sent to the manager with your inquiry. Most owners and managers respond to email inquiries within 24 hours.
How do I find out the property owners and managers email address?Rental Source takes every measure to ensure the owners and managers that use our service are not solicited with unwanted spam email. This is why we do not publicly display this information. However, you may contact the manager via email using the "Request Information" form located on each listing.
Does Rental Source warrant or verify information shown for each rental?All information shown on the listing is provided by the property manager and is deemed reliable but should be independently verified. Rental Source provides this service without representations or warranties of any kind either expressed or implied.
What can I do if I'm not a Member of Rental Source?As a guest of our service, you are able to access all of our listings through our search tools. You are free to investigate all of the listing information and request more information from the property owners and managers.
Why should I become a Member of Rental Source?As a Member, you can save your search criteria, favorite listings, and you have the option to list rental properties. Also, becoming a Member is totally free.
How do I become a Member?Located at the top of each page is a link called "Sign Up Now!". Simply click this and enter your information to setup your free Rental Source account.
How do I sign into an existing Rental Source account?To sign into your existing Rental Source account, simply click "Sign In" located at the top of every page. You'll then be asked to submit your email address and Rental Source password to enter the "Member" section of our website.
Do you use our personal information or email address for other purposes?Rental Source will not sell or distribute your personal information or email address to any third party.
How do I unsubscribe from receiving email from Rental Source?To unsubscribe, simply edit your email preferences located in your "Member Profile".
How do I change my email address, password, or member profile information?This information can be changed by accessing your "Member Profile".
Located at the top of each page is a link called "List Your Rental". By clicking this you can review our listing packages and start the process of adding your property to Rental Source.
Can I see what my listing will look like before I pay for anything?You have the ability to create & preview listings without paying. When you are ready to activate your listing, you may simply purchase it
What forms of payment does Rental Source accept?Rental Source accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover for your payment convenience.
What is your refund policy?Rental Source does not offer a refund on listing fees, and you are under no obligation to renew your listing when it expires.
Are there any additional fees or commissions charged on bookings?Rental Source does not collect a commission or fee on bookings created through our service.
How long does it take to list my property on Rental Source?The average listing takes approximately 10-30 minutes to complete. If you would prefer you can add your listing in multiple sittings and our system will save your progress.
When will my listing be added after I complete the listing process?Your listing will be immediately available on our website as soon as you complete the "Add Listing" process.
Why do you ask so many questions when listing my property?Rental Source goal is to fill your vacancy. We want to give you every opportunity to completely explain your rental. Potential renters like to know every detail and amenity prior to contacting the property manager. This will also save you time from answering questions/inquiries that could be addressed on your listing. Hopefully the only inquiries you'll receive are to arrange showings or bookings!
Can I make changes to my listing after submission?You have complete 24/7 access to update/edit your property for as long as it's listed with Rental Source. The changes you make are then immediately reflected in your listing.
What guidelines apply to adding a property listing?Rental Source has a few listing guidelines to ensure the integrity of our service. These guidelines are strictly enforced and there are no exceptions.
1. Your member/subscriber account must contain complete and accurate information.
2. You may only advertise a single property in each listing. Any listings advertising multiple properties or companies will immediately be removed without a refund.
3. You may not create duplicate listings for a single property.
4. Your listing must reflect accurate information about the rental property.
5. All pictures must be of the rental property and not contain any people or animals. Any pictures found that violate this will immediately be removed without notification.

Which listing package is best for me?For most people our Individual Listing plan is best. It is intended for people with a single rental property, and depending on your requirements you choose to advertise it anywhere from 1-month to 1-year. If you manage multiple properties or an apartment community, we recommend that you use our Unlimited Listings plan because it offers greater flexibility and your listings never expire.
How do I extend my Individual Listing from expiring?You may renew your listing at anytime. Just select the "Renew" tab or click on your listing's expiry date to purchase an extension.
Do I get a reminder when my listing is getting ready to expire?Yes, our system will send you a notification just prior to your listing's expiry date as well as when your listing has expired.
How do I update my credit card information?Once you are signed into your Member account, you can update your credit card information on the "Billing" screen off of the "My Account" section.
Does Rental Source meet industry standards for secure online transactions?All of your financial and personal information is protected by Entrust secure socket layer (SSL) technology. At anytime you can verify our certificate by clicking on the Entrust Secure Seal which is located on pages that we collect financial information.
Is there a direct website address for my listings?Yes, there is a direct link to each property you have listed with Rental Source. Once you are on your property listing, the address that is shown in your browser is your listing's permanent website address. You are free to bookmark this and distribute it on any promotional material you may have.
