The apartment (2nd floor) is in my building from 1900 with high ceilings, exposed brick with great arches, a new wooden floor and it has some gorgeous original plaster details here and there on the ceiling. I am an architect + have renovated it with 10 guests in mind be them 2 or 3 families staying together, a group of couples or just a lot of friends together. There are 3 bedrooms each with a 160 x 200cm box spring double bed. A further bedroom with three 80 x 200cm box spring single beds.The 5th 'bedroom' is an alcove off...
the living room. It has a higher floor than the living room so you don't feel like you're sleeping on the floor. The room has a 160 x 200cm double bed + a window. If the alcove isn't required as a bedroom during your stay it can be used as a further part of the living room.Most importantly there are 3 bathrooms each with a toilet + basin. two have a shower each and one has a bathtub with a shower. The showers are certainly designed to all work simultaneously and all the bathrooms have a window.For 10 guests there is a full kitchen with a big fridge, oven, dishwasher and everything you need to cook, eat + be merry together. The dining area + kitchen share one room which has a balcony attached. If there are smokers among the guests I ask that the smoking be confined to the balcony.The living area is really spacious with two big couches and various other seats, a big flatscreen with cabel TV offering some english channels.The apartment has a wifi hotspot.I also have a washing machine and dryer for your use. The apartment is on the second floor and all of the bedrooms have a view into trees, with or without leaves depending on the season.I have a beautiful 'green room' for you in the courtyard of my house. It has an evergreen garden with a sitting area + fairy lights for a gorgeous atmosphere all year round.The Neighborhood:The apartment is located in the popular and vibrant neighborhood Kreuzklln . This area has in the in last years blossomed, the atmosphere in the streets is cozy and friendly. The area is full of restaurants, galleries, bars, design shops, book stores, cinemas etc. There are many super markets in the area.The closest metro station is Hermannplatz (2 min walk) where the U8 and U7 will take you quickly to other neighborhoods like Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg. The bus M29 and M41 are just 4 min from the house and will take you directly to the Jewish Museum, Potsdamer Platz, Sony Center, Hauptbahnof, the New National Gallery etc.
