Ref # 373006Because we focus on monthly rentals, we do not accept bookings with a gap between move in date and availability date. We generally require move in dates to be within 7 days of the availability date. The Space#309 is a two bedroom, two bath apartment. It's our largest and quite comfortable for two couples-even three couples if you use the sleeper sofa. There's a nice kitchen and having the two baths is, of course, very convenient. The apartment has TV's in both bedrooms and in the living room, and wireless internet. We don't need air conditioning often, but we...
have it for those few hot summer days. The master bedroom has a king sized bed. It's a Cal-King, extra long and perfect for tall people. The second bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom is in the middle of the apartment. It's window looks out onto a light well. This gives it natural daylight, but no views. It does make it especially quiet. The second bedroom is perfect for a light sleeper. The sofa in the living room is a Krauss, one of the best sofa manufacturers in America today. The sleeper is queen sized and a pillow top, so it's comfortable for both sleeping on and using it as the couch it is. There's also two stuffed chairs and a small table with two straight back chairs in the living room. The photos shown are slightly out of date in the bedroom. We've removed the old tube type TV and replaced it with a 42 Samsung LED TV. It's amazingly sharp! We have a dish system on the room and have hundreds of TV channels including HBO.St. John's was built in 1905, and while the electrical and plumbing have been updated, the building keeps it's original charm. It has great detail in the wood trim and feels very comfortable. It's not new and shiny like some big steel and concrete high-rise, it's old and elegant, lived in for over a hundred years.Directly across the street from us is a large supermarket, a drug store, dry cleaners, and more. It's a great location! We're in a busy neighborhood, surrounded by boutique shops and restaurants and bars. This is actually Seattle's most up and coming neighborhood. We just a short walk from downtown-10 blocks to Nordstrom's flagship store. Public transportation stops a block away, but it's very easy to just walk everywhere from our location.Guest AccessGuests have private access to the whole apartment unit. There is a shared laundry room on the second floor of the building that has two washers and two dryers, which are quarter operated, a dollar per load. There is also a shared back patio with a gas BBQ that guests are welcome to use before 10pm quiet hours.Interaction with GuestsI am at the building Monday - Friday during regular business hours on most days. When I'm not at the building, Johnny, our live-in building manager, is around to help and to check people in. We do our best to meet and check you in, but depending on your arrival time we may coordinate with you to leave the keys in one of the businesses in our building. For the most part other than checking you in we'll leave you to do your own thing, but you can always contact us with questions about the area or any needs that arise while you're staying with us.The NeighborhoodCapitol Hill is Seattle's most dynamic neighborhood. There is so much going on - food, entertainment, and more! In each unit there is a guest book with a guide I wrote to the neighborhood including recommendations for good eats and cultural attractions.Getting AroundThere's tons of easy public transportation around - we are within 1 block of 8 different bus lines, and within a few blocks of a handful more. It is easy to get here from the airport using public transportation for part or all of the way by taking the light rail train to downtown and then going the remaining half mile either by transferring to a bus, taxi, or just walking (we are about a 20 minute walk from Westlake Station). To incentivise people not to drive, we have a deal with ber, a taxi alternative car company, for $20 off your first ride for new users; see the card in the handbook in the unit for the promo code!We are in a dense part of the city and recommend against renting a car if you're on the fence about it, as driving and parking is a headache in Seattle's traffic and there are so many easy alternatives. However, some people have to drive, and for them, we do have parking spots available behind our building. Parking is not included in the rate; let us know if you would like to reserve a parking pass for an extra $15 per day, available on a first-reserve, first-serve basis (we have a limited number of passes and occasionally run out during peak weekends in the summer; we will let you know when that's the case in advance). We collect parking payment in person (cash or credit card) since there's not an optional add-ons section. This HomeSuite property comes fully furnished and has at least a 30 day minimum lease term (see below for minimum lease term of this specific unit).Additional Property Inf.
