Swim right here at an almost private beach surrounded by 325 acres of conservation land or at Life Guard protected Schoolhouse Pond which is is a short walk or take a short ride to one of Chatham's four nearby salt water beaches. The entrance to the bike trail and Recreational Park with new skate board area is very close by as well. Bike trail for biking,running,in line skating or walking, can be reached without going on main roads. Staying in? The home offers a large library of books, games, DVDs and VCRs for your use. Chatham's unique main street offers various shops for browsing or shopping, Monomoy Theatre,library, museums, coffee houses and many restaurants to choose from. In 2012, Chatham celebrated its 300th birthday.There are varied wildlife activities as well: seal watching, whale watching, the Monomoy Wildlife Refuge on Morris Island, with tours to Monomoy Island, a bird sanctuary. Chatham is a fishing village and you can watch the boats unload around 4:00 o'clock most days at the fish pier. Seals are very often visible here as well.
